Laor Engineering carries out a wide range of industrial painting and protective coating projects, including all necessary surface preparation, under the company’s engineering supervision. The work is performed using dedicated equipment and high-quality materials, with strict adherence to safety standards.
Industrial Painting:
There is a difference between industrial painting and standard painting: industrial painting is primarily performed on metals, tanks, piping, and structural frameworks. The work is carried out in industrial facilities under challenging conditions.
The type of paint or coating is selected based on the surface material and the environment in which it will be applied, as well as the conditions it must withstand, such as salts, chemicals, heat, wear, and more.
The application process must be meticulous and follow carefully planned stages to achieve optimal results and long-lasting protection.
Surface Preparation:
Surface preparation must be thorough. Surfaces should be free of grease, dirt, old paint residues, and rust, with appropriate roughness to ensure proper adhesion of the new coating—typically to a grade of SA 2.5 according to the Swedish standard. Surface preparation can be performed using sandblasting or high-pressure water cleaning. The work is conducted under the supervision of a certified NACE inspector.
